No, and that is not a policy we intend to revisit. Advertising is sold as clearly labelled placements that sit in their own slots. Buying one does not move a business up the listings.
We are not able to arbitrate a dispute between you and a contractor — we were not there, and we have no way to establish what happened. Your provincial consumer protection office or licensing body is the right place for that, and they have powers we do not. If a business has closed or the listing is factually wrong, that we can fix.
Ask us and we will remove it. Worth knowing that most listings come from open map data, so the entry may reappear from the source unless the underlying record changes — if that happens, tell us and we will suppress it permanently.
